Silvia Venegas Venegas

Silvia Venegas (Santa Marta de los Barros, Spain, 1982) is a director, producer and scriptwritter. Among his productions stand out “Kafana (Enough, Already!)” (2016), “Boxing for Freedom”, it has been selected at the European Film Awards 2015 for the Best European Documentary, “Prescription Art” (2015) and "The Children of Mama Wata" (2010). She has also produced “Words of Caramel” (2016), “Walls” (2014), Goya Award for Best Short Documentary and “Life Beyond the Battle” (2011). Her productions have been selected and awarded at festivals both nationally and worldwide. Silvia Venegas studied History at University Balearic Island, Journalism at Univeristy Carlos III and Media Studies at University Antonio de Nebrija. She was selected to take part in the Berlinale Talent at the Berlin Film Festival, in the IDFAcademy at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam and in the Foro Generator for young european filmmakers. In 2010 she founded the specialized in documentary film production and consulting company Making DOC. She is member of the European Film Academy.

Juan Antonio Moreno Amador

Juan Antonio Moreno Amador is director, scriptwritter and producer. Moreno has directed among others "Boxing for Freedom", this documentary has participated in several film festivals, it has been exhibited in more than 50 countries and it has been selected for the European Film Awards in 2015. He also has directed the docufiction "Words of Caramel" that has been nominated at the Goya Awards 2017.

His productions have been selected in more than 200 international festivals and have received more than 50 prizes. In 2011, the Carlos III University of Madrid gave him the Excellence Award for his career and in 2008 he received Reina Sofía Social Communication Award. Moreno has studied Library and Information Sciences, Script, Journalism and International Relations. He teaches at the Documentary Master Degree and at Carlos III University and at the Lens School. In 2010 he founded the production company Making DOC and he is member of the European Film Academy and of the Spanish Film Academy.

We are an independent film production company specialized in DOCUMENTARY FILMS and SOCIAL BRANDED CONTENT founded by J.A. Moreno Amador and Silvia Venegas. Since we began our work in 2010 we have gone for stories and projects that are worth being told.

Our films have participated in more than 300 international film festivals such as Camerimage, CPH:DOX, Sheffield, Seattle, Busan, DocsDF, Encounters, Montreal, Interfilm, Dok Leipzig, Beijing Documentary Culture Week, Málaga or DocumentaMadrid. In addition, they have received more than 100 awards including the Goya Award for Best Short Documentary in 2015 for "Walls", the nomination of "Words of Caramel" in the 2017 Goya Awards and the selection of "Boxing for Freedom" in the European Film Awards in the category of Best European Documentary.

At both international and national level festivals, television channels, companies and NGDOs have trusted us. Our films have received the support of the EUROPA CREATIVE Program, the IBERMEDIA Program, the Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts Institute (ICAA) of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Spanish Government, Junta de Extremadura and Comunidad de Madrid.
